Sketching History Pat Oliphant is the most widely syndicated political cartoonist in the world. He's satirised 9 US presidents and captured the recent events in Washington. But it turns out that drawing isn't his only talent.
'Being a cartoonist is a great privilege. I can say things that people want to say.' The Pulitzer Prize winner's work is syndicated to 400 newspapers and when Bush ended his Presidential term, Oliphant had mixed emotions. 'He's given me a great 8-year ride...I'm losing the best cast that I've ever had'. Yet his talents also include sculpting and he has held several exhibitions.
