The Art of Politics A floating island made from stainless steel and a 'celestial trumpet' calling to the skies - only one place could provide such an unlikely home for these major sculpture collections - 'The Farm'.

Alan Gibbs doesn't have cattle or crops on his farm, he displays unique pieces of art. "As far as I'm concerned there isn't any other art than minimalist art". There are almost two dozen works of art nestling around 'The Farm', all owned by hard-line businessman Gibbs. "It's the ability to make something with so much statement with so little. Twenty years on and Gibbs has become New Zealand's most generous political donor, using his wealth and artistic influence to promote his conservative views. "No other person has inspired me more to live the ideals of the ACT Party". With NZ's leading art patron it's hard to escape the politics!
