Driving William

Driving William After climbing an electricity pylon in search of a bird's nest, William woke up in hospital to find that both his arms had been amputated. This touching report follows his determined recovery in rural SA.
"You must be strong", William announces to the camera. Since his accident, the young orphan has faced a huge challenge to adapt to the harsh realities of life in the poor farmlands of South Africa. Yet he is unfailingly optimistic about the future."My dream is a car. It's my plan", he grins. His carers at the burns unit worry about what might lie ahead for him, but they are sure of one thing:"I've never met anyone quite like William".
