Dr Dim Dim In Papua New Guinea, the risk of dying during childbirth is one in 30, making it one of the most dangerous places in the world for women to give birth. We meet the doctor determined to change this fact.

25 years ago Barry Kirby discovered a dangerously ill woman by the side of the road in Papua New Guinea. By morning she was dead. Kirby still chokes up at the memory of the encounter that transformed his life. He quit his job as a carpenter and spent the next decade studying to become a doctor. His quest now is to save the lives of women in the remotest parts of PNG. "Women carry this country, they do not get the respect they deserve", he says.
