Anti-Israel protests grow in Egypt
Many Egyptians are angry at the way Palestinians have been treated. Among Egypt’s youth anti-American sentiment is growing.
An angry crowd is calling for Arab leaders to let them enter holy war against Israel. At anti-Israel and anti-Semitic demonstrations in the Arab world, there is only mockery and derision for US Secretary of State Colin Powell’s Far East investigation mission. Anti-Israel sentiment is also a good distraction technique for the Egyptian government, allowing it to divert attention from the country’s economic woes and domestic instability.
