Few people would relish the thought of a gruelling 12 day marathon. However, one legged mine victim Chris Moon jumped at the challenge.
It's described as the most punishing competition on earth. 29 athletes have just 12 days to run four marathons and complete three mountain climbs while carrying a rucksack weighing up to 30 kg. As well as taking adventure sports to new heights, the challenge helped to raise thousands for charity. "Everyone is capable of doing more than they think," states organiser and competitor Chris Moon. "This kind of event challenges the concepts of our limitations."
