The post-9/11 secret world is fraught with intrigue, paranoia and anxiety. Led by the USA the great nations of the free world are constantly on the look-out for possible terror suspects both within their own borders and abroad, particularly in the Middle East. This is the story of Mamdouh Habib, a well-travelled object of secret-service suspicion. He was born in Afghanistan but now has Australian citizenship, as well as a place among the fears of the Australian people. This short film explores his experiences while he was kept in custody in Egypt, Pakistan and the United States and, in particular, the possibility that Australia a nd the USA colluded in handing over Habib to the Egyptians, a state renowned for its barbaric methods of interrogation.
