Under Siege
Due to alleged terrorist activity and human rights abuses, Sudan is facing pressure from the international community.
The civil war continues to damage Sudan. The alleged blocking of UN aid to the country's South have led to sanctions by UN security council; Christians who have fled the war face discrimination in the nation's capital; allegations that government backed militia training is in fact a training ground for terrorist organisations are rife. All the while, despite government attempts to persuade Southern tribes that the war is over, violence still rages on.
