Toad in the Hole
Germany has been held up as a bastion of nuclear safety but there is still no agreement about what to do with its nuclear waste and there are allegations of illegal nuclear dumping. We report on one case.
By law, nuclear waste cannot be exported or reprocessed in Germany and there is no permanent storage facility. Twenty-five years ago, Dr Henle Klaus discovered "giant tadpoles showing unusual features." He believes the mutations were caused by illegally dumped nuclear waste.
