Siberian Throat singing used to be a male only preserve, but Shonchulai Choodu has truly broken that taboo.
Practising since she was only five years old, Choodu has mesmerised master throat singer, Vladimir Oidoopaa . During the Soviet era, Oidoopaa struggled when throat singing was regarded an act of "dissent".
