Hyena Square in Dar Es Salaam is the favoured hang out for Tanzania's young prostitutes. Their heartbreaking stories reveal brutal histories of poverty and exploitation, yet they still find hope for the future.
"Hyena Square is a gateway for children with problems", reveals aid worker Justa Mwaituka. Elisa was one such child; at fifteen she came to Hyena Square out of desperation and fell into prostitution. Now she's using her experiences to help other young girls escape their circumstances. "I was one of them but I managed to change", she states. "Now I save other children".
