The Expanding Reich
The late 1930s saw the German Reich expand into Germany, the Czech Sudetenland, Czechoslavkia itself, and then Memel. These were the heady early days of a victorious Fatherland as it overturned the hated Treaty of Versailles, expanding in the name of Heimkehr ins Reich.
We watch as Hitler travels from annexed state to annexed state, greeted by endless hysterical crowds and ranked, jack-booted soldiers.
