On September 23rd, student Matti Juhani Saari killed ten of his schoolmates and then shot himself at the Finnish school of Seinäjoki. How does a shocked community come to grips with such a tragedy?
Police tape cordons off the grounds, candles litter the floor, and families and friends grieve for the students who lost their lives here. A school, students deemed "the safest place in the world", has been rocked by a high school shooting and the community is left not knowing whom to blame. "I don't think this wound will ever heal completely. There will always be a scar in our community and in the whole of Finnish society."
