Fang loves his birds, all 100 of them. They live with him freely in his cramped little space. But just as the finches are free, Fang is not. He is their caregiver. They need him. Without Fang there is no water, without Fang no food. It is a little world which Fang loves more than anything else, but it is also a place that has become his self-imposed prison, his little cage.
