Butterfly
This rare and intimate portrait explores a young Scottish woman's perspective about living with albinism. The condition has often made Gemma an outsider but she is equally determined to lead a normal life.
Gemma Sherry was born in 1984, "The nurses told my mum they'd never seen a baby as fair as me." It doesn't matter to Gemma that she doesn't have her eyesight; "I'll never be able to drive a car, but that's about it", she says climbing the highest indoor climbing arena in Europe. "I'm proud of who I am." A truly inspiring story directed by the Bafta-Scotland award winning Yulia Mahr.
