Obama Vs Vegas
Is The Dream of Vegas Beginning to Shatter?
'It felt like we were a race car going downhill at 100 miles an hour - it was quite frightening' says the owner of Caesar's Palace Hotel. He believes the dip is a direct result of Obama's citing of trips to Vegas as corporate greed gone mad. 'There's got to be some accountability' Obama cried. Conferences were cancelled and occupancy rates dropped. There's a lot at stake in Vegas right now - unemployment is higher than in most of the nation and anger towards Obama is rife. 'We're here to make him take it back' says a protester awaiting Obama's arrival in Vegas. After meeting with the mayor, Obama attempts to reverse some of the harm he may have caused. 'There's nothing like a quick trip to Vegas' he smiles. But anger remains in Las Vegas. The city of dreams will not be told to wake up.
