South African national Alexander Krebs had not returned from his holiday to Thailand for 15 years. He was convicted of drug trafficking shortly after his arrival and had been kept in Bang Kwang maximum security prison ever since. Was he guilty of such an extreme crime or was he disproportionality punished for a misdemeanor?
