Gender Blender
It isn't easy to stand out from the crowd at high school. Being gay or transgender can attract merciless bullying. This report follows an inspiring group of Canadian students who have decided to take a stand.
With its first transgender student and many others identifying themselves as gay, Hope Secondary School appears to offer a tolerant environment. But as bullying continues, a group of students take matters in their own hands. "A lot of the LGBT students in our school find that they are often excluded, so we're there to help make their feelings heard. We're all allies," says Katelyn, the leader of the school's Gay Straight Alliance.
