A Brother's Plea
"It was shocking. How you expect animals to be treated", Andrew Greste says after witnessing his brother appear in court inside a cage. Peter Greste's work as foreign correspondent for Al Jazeera, the BBC and CNN has brought him international acclaim. But he's now accused of conspiring with the Muslim Brotherhood, aiding a terrorist group and working without a permit - all charges he denies. If convicted of the terror charges against him, Peter could remain in jail for seven years. His Egyptian lawyers argue police have no case against him. Denied an interpreter, his supporters say his trial is a farce. "He doesn't deserve to be where he is", his brother says as he vows to continue to campaign for Peter's release.
