Moon Mining

Moon Mining 40 years since man last walked on the surface of the moon, scientists are developing lunar mining technologies that could be responsible for the first lunar colony, and the next leap in space exploration.

"When President H. W. Bush mentioned, 'Let's go back to the moon, but this time to stay', I said, 'This is it. This is my job'", says Professor Leonhard Bernold. Now he is leading research at the University of New South Wales into how man can mine, build and live on the moon, all by using moon materials as the primary resource. Is this the beginning of a new "space economy"?
