Angel of Nanjing The Yangtze River Bridge in Nanjing is the most popular place in the world to commit suicide, with over 5 attempts per week. For the past 11 years, blue-collar worker Chen Si has been patrolling this bridge every day, watching out for desperate people who've gone there to end their lives. With no formal training, he has saved over 300 people since he began; earning him the nickname the 'Angel of Nanjing'.

The Producers


Frank Ferendo got his start as an editor on shows for VH1 and TV Guide, and quickly moved on to producing and directing. He has gone on to direct many short films, television pilots, commercials and music videos. Together, with long time collaborator Jordan Horowitz, they have produced many meaningful campaigns and content for Shriners Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors, Gloria Gemma breast cancer foundation, Boys and Girls club of america among many others.

Making The Film


Jordan Horowitz has directed and produced award winning short films, TV commercials and music videos. He spent several years producing and directing content for MTV and VH1, and directed the TV pilot “City Lights” for Two Ton Films. His work has been referenced several times in the book “Making It Big in Shorts: The Ultimate Filmmaker’s Guide to Short Films”, by Kim Adelman. He is currently in post production on Painless, his narrative feature directorial debut.
