Iraq is in a state of choas, terrorism having emerged dramatically after the US invasion. Governor of Baghdad Ali al-Tamimi makes efforts to reunite the country and reinstall peace despite daily hardship.
"Baghdad, our mother and our home!", chant numerous children lined up to welcome the Governor at the school he has built for them. This is one of the many tactics Governor Ali al-Tamimi uses to combat extremism in Baghdad. "The achievements make you forget hard times", he says.
But the hard times are still a daily reality for the Iraqi people whose lives are built on corruption and brutal violence.
