Hossam Hamdi Abu Dan – Director
Hossam Hamdi Abu Dan, a Palestinian director from Gaza, has been making films since 2010. He’s directed documentaries and TV series and won several awards locally and internationally.
In 2023, during the 15-month genocide in Gaza, he helped directed 'Gaza Sound Man.' The film uses personal stories to show how Gaza’s sounds transformed. The cheerful calls of street vendors and children’s laughter on their way to school were replaced by the devastating sounds of bombings, destruction, and explosions.
Awad Joumaa – Executive Producer
Awad Joumaa is the Head of Originals and Acquisitions at Al Jazeera 360, Al Jazeera’s streaming platform. He is an award-winning, multilingual filmmaker, executive producer, and war journalist with over 25 years of experience in media, broadcasting, and film and television production. Throughout his career, he has covered some of the most defining conflicts of our time, bringing raw, unfiltered narratives to global audiences.
As a war journalist, he has led major conflict coverage for Al Jazeera English across Asia, Africa, and the MENA region, often reporting from the frontlines.
