Lyra An intimate and epic journey into the female experience of ‘post-conflict’ Northern Ireland, authored by the murdered journalist Lyra McKee in her own voice and words. She was shot dead by the New IRA on the eve of Good Friday, April 2019 whilst observing a riot. Directed by her close friend, documentarian Alison Millar, the film seeks answers to her senseless killing through Lyra’s own work and words.

Alison Millar is one of the U.K. and Ireland's most respected documentary filmmakers. She is a BAFTA, IFTA and Prix Italia winner as well as winning both the UK and Northern Ireland Royal Television Society award in 2016 for Channel 4's Dispatches documentary "Kids In Crisis." She is a critically acclaimed filmmaker with a reputation for making emotionally compelling films. In 2010, Alison founded Erica Starling Productions Ltd, an independent documentary production company in Belfast.
