Syria’s Last Chapter: Hope in Idlib In Syria’s last opposition-held territory, the streets are full of refugees fleeing brutal attacks by both Russian and Syrian regime forces. Al Jazeera profiles Imad, a young man remaining in Idlib with his family doing his best to support those around him.
"Before the revolution, I had a shop selling flowers and birds." After the bombing began, Imad lost everything. He managed to buy a car, a rare and valuable resource in war-torn and earthquake-stricken Idlib, which he’s been using to drive hundreds of refugees into safety, amid the large destruction of Syria. Small remnants of his old life are painful reminders: “This bird is trapped in a cage, and we are the same”.
