Japanese jockeys have event domination in their sites. They're developing the methods to take on the international horse racing world.
Katsumi Yoshida runs a racing empire conservatively valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. He developed the winning strategy to take first and second place at this year's Melbourne cup. "I had to choose a horse that was strong and able to win", he explains. "I had two at my stable by chance". By strictly controlling the temperature in their stables and limiting their training, he made sure they didn't burn out.
