From a variety of perspectives, this doc sheds light on the brave figures advocating for peace among a traumatised and revengeful setting. Yuval Green, former IDF soldier, refused to continue fighting in Gaza: “If the government does not change direction immediately and work toward an agreement to bring back the hostages, we will not continue to serve.” Meir Baruchin, an Israeli teacher accused of treason for expressing concern for civilian casualties in Gaza - experienced a similar backlash to his criticism of the Israeli government. He states: “I received hundreds of messages saying Meir, I am behind you but, they are afraid of losing their jobs.” Many of these people, themselves implicated in the horrors of war, struggle to get their voices heard for fear of being seen as against the country. A student protestor whose grandfather was kidnapped on October 7th, signals a required change in Israeli policy: "October 7 is not proof that peace is not possible, it is proof that we cannot not have peace."
