Kasimir Burgess – Director
Originally a practicing sculptor, Kasimir transitioned into documentary and drama, focusing on stories that explore the natural world and humanity's complex relationship with it. His films have screened and won awards at numerous festivals, including Berlin, Raindance, Locarno, and the Melbourne International Film Festival. His debut feature, FELL, a revenge thriller set in the logging industry, garnered critical acclaim from publications such as The Hollywood Reporter and Screen Daily. Kasimir’s AACTA- and WALKLEY-nominated documentary FRANKLIN, which chronicles the fight to save the iconic Franklin River, was the longest-running Australian documentary of 2022.
Ben Golotta – Producer
Ben Golotta is a prominent figure in Adelaide’s film industry, known for his work as a Producer/Director and as co-founder of Repeater Productions alongside producer Morgan Wright. With a strong portfolio of award-winning short films, TVCs, and documentaries, Ben has earned recognition as a leading talent in South Australia. His first feature documentary Iron Winter is set to release in 2025 representing a significant milestone in his career and positioning Repeater Productions as a key player in the industry. Ben is currently in development on his next documentary Sampai Mati. A deeply personal project surrounding the Bali Bombings
Chris Kamen – Producer
Chris has a broad producer skillset spanning film and TV production, distribution, marketing, business affairs and legals. His feature documentary Franklin launched at the Melbourne International Film Festival, was nominated for Best Documentary at the AACTAs and Walkley Awards, and went on to become Australia’s second highest-grossing theatrical documentary in 2022. Previously Chris pioneered crowdfunding and self-distribution methods on a number of feature-length documentaries including Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2011), Small is Beautiful (2015) and Vitamania (2018). Chris works part time in business affairs at leading Australian production company CJZ. He also works as an IP and entertainment lawyer at Hyper Legal.
Morgan Wright – Producer
Morgan Wright is a Sydney based producer, director, and owner of Repeater Productions. Morgan has produced and worked extensively with some of South Australia’s and New South Wales emerging talent. Most recently he produced Ben Golotta’s debut short film Lean, Jack Dignan’s found footage horror film Puzzle Box, directed his second short film Human Range and will produce the upcoming body horror film Pardon My Flesh alongside Jack Dignan and Rhys William Nicolson. Morgan continues to work on upcoming projects with the rest of the Repeater crew. Morgan has found he can bring his onset experience in VFX from larger feature films such as Thor: Love and Thunder, Furiosa, Planet of the Apes: Forbidden Kingdom and many more to elevate his producing and directing qualities.
Ed Cavanough – Writer
Ed Cavanough is a journalist, researcher, and academic. He has written for The Washington Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Nation, NBC News, The South China Morning Post, the Australian, 7 News, The Age, The Guardian, Foreign Policy Magazine, Al Jazeera, The Diplomat, The Canberra Times, The New Daily, The Advertiser and others. He has reported from Afghanistan, China, Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Cuba. Ed has recently released his first political novel ‘Divided Isles: Solomon Islands and the China Switch’ which was reviewed by the NY times.
Enebish (Eenee) Sengemugaa– Co-Writer and Executive Producer
Enebish is a local artist, activist and herdsman. For many years, it has been Eenee’s aspiration to create a film about this very tradition. Quickly he has risen to become a central part of the production due to his immense connections within the valley and poetic vision of the local traditions. Eenee has come on board as the Mongolian producer.
