Mount Kenya has been of great importance for thousands of years; it inspired awe in all those lucky enough to see it, from the very first Homo sapien tribes to the men who helped to bring Kenya to independence. It is the second largest mountain in Africa, and the mountain climbers who reach its peak are among the best in the sport.
