Brain Washing
How to wash a baby's brain
Being born is a dangerous business. One of the risks is brain haemorrhage which can lead to hydrocephalus or water on the brain. Now a doctor in England has developed a way to limit the damage - by washing the baby's brain.
The brain has a remarkable ability to repair itself, but the original clot has to be cleared - and that's where the washing comes in. This technique has been developed in Bristol, England, and helps reduce the risk of long-term disability or even death.
