Global Warming Pause

Global Warming Pause The rapid rise in global average air surface temperatures, linked to increasing greenhouse gas emissions, has slowed down dramatically. Has global warming paused, or is this the beginning of the next climate crash?
In 1998, the Pacific Ocean released a huge amount of heat into the atmosphere and subsequent storms and floods sparked frenzied debate over man's hand in global warming. Since then global average air temperatures have actually fallen, and when leading environmental scientist Dr. Kevin Trenberth's hacked emails claimed that "there is no global warming", we had the Climategate Scandal of 2009. "So we're getting this growing divergence between the observations and the climate model simulations", says Professor Judith Curry. Scientists are now fighting to dispel the myth of a global warming pause, with alarming new data forecasting a new climate system that is set to get hotter.
