Borderline Trump
In a town in rural Arizona, armed men patrol the streets on the look out for trouble. These are the 'Veterans on Patrol' - a local militia set up to enforce the law and prepare for any national emergency.
As one member laconically explains: "We have enough drugs and rapists and guns here already, we don't need more of it". In this part of Arizona, one in ten adults are veterans. Many are homeless and unemployed, many feel let down by their government and shunned by a population opposed to the wars in which they fought. Accordingly, this marginalised group does not see a bright future with the American establishment; instead, they seek an alternative.
