Making The Film

When our camera crews documented the events leading up to January 6 and the ensuing violence, we couldn't have foreseen the story's exponential growth. Despite being the most reported story of our generation, January 6 remains shrouded in massive division and confusion. Who could have predicted that three years later, Donald Trump would be vying for the presidency again? The deepening divisions in the country fuelled by a persistent "us vs them" attitude hinders a genuine understanding of what truly transpired. Amidst people staying in their media echo chambers, the context and information about the events become increasingly murky. That's why we find it crucial to create an independent documentary. Rather than relying on soundbites, misinformation, and partisan narratives, our goal is to show what actually happened. Adopting an open-minded, curious, and empathetic approach, we aim to illuminate one of the most significant stories of our time—one that could profoundly shape the future of America and beyond.
